Photo-Catalytic Oxidation (PCO)

As many as 10,000 chemical substances are found in diesel exhaust and many are listed as cancer causing or suspected carcinogens. Compounds such as nitrous oxide, nitrogen dioxide, benzene, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, etc., can create serious health problems and exasperate certain health conditions such as asthma and heart disease. PCO eliminates or mitigates gas-phase organic contaminants and protects personnel in the building.

Germicidal Protection

AirHAWK's patented system with PCO also utilizes ultraviolet (UV) light to remove viruses, mold, bacteria and other airborne pathogens from the air. PCO-UV also assists in breaking down volatile organic compounds (VOCs) - a large class of air pollutants - which can be up to ten times higher indoors than outdoors.
